Product Description
WHAT’S INCLUDED:

•PowerPoint presentation lesson: 19 slides
This lesson covers how to solve one-variable inequalities and graph their solutions on a number line. The presentation includes a pre-requisite knowledge warm-up, a description of the similarities and differences between solving equations and solving inequalities, 11 examples of solving one-variable inequalities and graphing their solutions on a number line (including inequalities whose answer is no solution or all real numbers), and 3 standardized test-style questions about solving inequalities.

• Filled-in PowerPoint presentation: 19 slides
This version of the PowerPoint lesson includes the work, answers, and explanations that the students would have heard and seen during the lesson. This is a great resource to provide to students who were absent on the day of the lesson and to students who need accommodations or modifications.

• Guided notes: 3 pages
This PDF document directly follows the PowerPoint notes for this lesson. These are great for students who need accommodations or modifications. Or, provide these for all students to increase the speed of the lesson and to allow students to spend less time copying and more time participating in the lesson.

• Warm-Up
A printable version of the warm-up from the notes is also included, including an answer key. There are four warm-ups per page.

• Exit Ticket
A short, two-question “exit ticket,” is included, and the answer key is provided. These questions mirror the types of questions that students saw in the notes and can be an efficient way to gauge how well students understood the lesson. Additionally, the back side of the exit ticket asks students to rank how they feel about the concepts taught from 1-4. There are four exit tickets per page.

• A Sorting Activity for solving and graphing one-variable inequalities
A fun way for students to practice the concept taught in the lesson. One page of this activity features 8 inequalities for students to solve, while the back side of this sheet provides a place for students to show their work. After solving each problem, students must find their answers (both the inequality and its graph) on slips of paper and glue them in place on the first page of the activity. An answer key is included.

• Worksheet: 10 problems
This worksheet features 10 problems for students to solve. The problems are similar to the types of problems students solved in the notes. An answer key is provided.

• BONUS Standardized Test Practice Worksheet: 7 problems
This worksheet features 7 problems that are similar to the types of problems they’ll see on their standardized tests. An answer key is provided.

• Quiz: 3 problems
This half-sheet quiz asks students to solve the same types of problems they practiced in the notes and on the worksheet. This type of quiz is great for quick, formative feedback between teacher and student. An answer key is provided. Also included are two other versions of the same quiz that can be handed back to the student with their graded quiz. The first asks students to describe what mistakes they made on their first attempt on the quiz. The second asks students to provide the correct work for each problem they made a mistake on.
