Description

Want to get your students up and moving? Play this fun scavenger hunt activity while your students practice solving proportions with word problems!

Students search for the answer to a task card that's on a different task card in the room. They go around the room, beginning in any order, and solve the problems. When the students are done, it will be easy for you to grade just by looking at the pattern of symbols the students wrote down!

Solve unit rate problems including those involving unit pricing and constant speed. For example, if it took 7 hours to mow 4 lawns, then at that rate, how many lawns could be mowed in 35 hours? At what rate were lawns being mowed?
Use ratio and rate reasoning to solve real-world and mathematical problems, e.g., by reasoning about tables of equivalent ratios, tape diagrams, double number line diagrams, or equations.
