Important Note: The PowerPoint animations in this lesson don't work well with Google Slides. Please use PowerPoint!
The “super stupendous” animated Power Points that are integrated throughout this lesson will really help your students understand how to use the zero product property. Students will find the roots of equations when the equations are in factored form as well as when they are in standard form. Then students will find the roots using algebraic techniques. They will use a rectangular model when factoring trinomials.
Note: If you purchase this product, I suggest that you play through the PowerPoint presentation on your own. This will help you decide how it works best for your class. The way I use this product is as follows: I project the “Whole Class Practice” problems and play through them so the whole class can watch. I project the answers to the “Independent Practice” so students can check their answers as they go.
Note: The zipped file contains The Please Read Me that gives instructions for use (1 pages), the 8-page lesson, the 8-page key, 15 animated slides, and 1 page on copyright information. The lesson and key are PDF files. The slides are done in PowerPoint.
