This is a flip-book that covers 3 methods for solving a quadratic equation: by factoring, graphing and the quadratic formula. The front page asks the student to fill in the definition of a quadratic equation and what it means to solve. Then they label each page at the bottom (see preview for pic). Finally, the notes inside each flap give them the steps to solve a quadratic. There are one to two examples of each type for them to fill in. I use this after I have taught each method as a summary or study guide. I also teach solving quadratics so that the first step is to verify that the equation is quadratic and the second step is to make sure the equation is set equal to zero. These steps are included inside the flip book. The flip book is easy to put together. Just run off front to back on two pages, fold on the dotted line, staple at the top and fill in. Photos included as a key.
