This is a flip-book that covers the 5 methods for Solving a Quadratic Equation: Factoring (3 methods), Square Root Method, Quadratic Formula, Graphing and Completing the Square.
On the first page, the student defines what "Solve" means, describes how they can tell an equation is quadratic and then describes the type of solutions that most quadratic equations have.
The next 5 pages cover the 5 methods for solving a quadratic equation. Each page includes steps for that method and 1 to 3 examples to complete. Note: I always teach my students to make sure the equation is quadratic first and then to make sure it is set equal to zero (except for the square root method). These steps are included for every method. (See preview).
The student quickly puts the flip-book together by folding on the dotted line and stapling at the top. Next, they label each flap and then work the examples inside.
Great as a review right before the test. Can be glued into interactive notebook and used as a study tool. 9 pages. Photos of finished foldable and each page included (can be used as a key).
