I designed this worksheet (the sixth in a series of 10) to help fuse together the big ideas about quadratics and how they are different from other functions. This can be purchased individually or as a complete unit titled Solving Quadratics Complete Bundled Unit (at a discounted price).
Topics covered in this worksheet are: Finding x-intercepts and y-intercepts of linear equations in standard, point-slope and slope-intercept form, solving factorable quadratic equations (aka finding the zeros of a quadratic equation), writing standard form quadratics in factored form and making a connection between the factored form of a quadratic and the zeros of a quadratic function.
I designed this worksheet to compliment the Mathematics Vision Project Secondary Math II curriculum. It corresponds to Solving Quadratic and Other Equations 3.6
