This is a double-sided notes page on three ways to solve a quadratic: by factoring, graphing and the quadratic formula. The first page spells out the 3 methods for the student. In all 3 methods, I emphasize the same first two steps: make sure your equation is quadratic and make sure it is set equal to zero.
The student lists the 3 ways to factor and writes down that in the graphing method the solutions are called roots or zeros. The second page provides 5 examples (2 factoring, 1 quadratic formula, and 2 graphing) where the student can practice solving by each method. I use this as a summary notes page after I have taught all 3 methods. At this point, the students can do almost all of the examples completely by themselves, so these notes serve as a good review as well. Key included.
All of my products are color-coded by topic. To find more resources on Solving Quadratics please return to my store and look for the teal green background or choose the Solving Quadratics category on the left-hand side.
