In this activity, students will work in small groups to solve four quadratics. In the four problems, students are asked to choose one of the four methods of solving (factoring, quadratic formula, completing the square, and square root method). Students may only use each method once, so they have to be strategic! Once one student uses a method and solves the quadratic, they pass it along to the next group member who now has three methods to choose from, etc...
Students should have a thorough understanding of imaginary and complex numbers, as well as irrational numbers. If students choose to complete the square on some of the problems, they will encounter fractions.
There are two relays included in this product!
