Product Description
This is a fun activity used to review the 5 types of solving quadratics. The equations to be solved are not difficult, but it can be challenging to choose a method to solve them. That is what this activity is about.

There are 10 quadratic equations to be solved. Some are set equal to zero; some are not. Students choose how to solve each of them (2 per method): by completing the square ("a" is one and "b" is even), by graphing, by factoring, by quadratic formula and by taking the square root. Students can work in pairs or groups and directions and suggestions for use are included as well as a key.

Note: Since completing the square is a very difficult concept for Algebra 1 students, this activity assumes that they have only been taught to complete the square when "a" is one and "b" is even. This is noted in the directions and on the student answer document. Please keep this in mind when purchasing this resource.
