Product Description

This is a 3-page test with 20 questions over all 5 methods of solving quadratic equations including the discriminant and writing quadratic equations.

On questions 1 - 4, the student is given a quadratic equation and asked to solve it using the factoring method.

On question #5, the student is given an equation and asked to solve it by quadratic formula. The discriminant is a perfect square.

On questions 6 & 7, the student is asked to solve the quadratic equation by graphing (on the calculator). All solutions are whole numbers.

On question #8, the student is asked to identify how many REAL solutions a quadratic equation can have.

Questions 9 - 11 ask the student to solve by the square root method.

Question #12 asks the student to solve by completing the square and steps are included with the question.

Questions #13 & #14 ask the student to find the discriminant and then to tell how many real solutions the equation would have.

Questions #15 - 18, give the student 4 equations to be solved by any method. They have to tell which method they are using and then find the solutions.

Finally, questions #19 & #20 ask the student to write a possible equation of the quadratic. #19 gives them a graph and #20 tells them what the zeros of the equation are.

2 different forms of the test are included as well as a key for both.
