Ready for your students to get SUPER excited about practicing ANY concept!? Well, try Paper Ball Pitch! It is super engaging – students love it!
This activity is designed to practice Solving Systems of Equations by Substitution.
Each student starts out with about 3 to 5 paper balls, they get about 30 seconds or so to have a paper ball war, then they work on the problem with their group/partner. Once finished they check their answer, and you do it all over again. This makes even the most reluctant student excited to jump in and try :) It is a must try for anyone looking for high engagement.
This set includes 8 different questions to help practice. As well as teacher directions, a student directions page to display, and an answer key.
Alternative use: if you are unable to try this as a Paper Ball Pitch, the individually printed cards are easily adaptable to use as task cards for whatever purpose you see fit.
Let the games begin!
