This is an introductory investigation to solving systems of linear equations. The students will investigate two big questions: Do all systems of linear equations have a solution? Do all systems of linear equations have one solution?
They will complete three investigations. They will have the opportunity to investigate systems that have one solution, no solution, and infinitely many solutions. For each, they will graph systems of linear equations and indicate the points of intersections. They will record their observations by answering attached questions. Finally, they will complete the conclusion/reflection page.
