I needed a step-by-step graphic organizer to help my students learn to solve systems of equations using Substitution. So, I created this graphic organizer. It is step-by-step with the steps thoroughly but succinctly described.
This product has four different parts:
1) A graphic organizer and example for solving a systems of equations where one of the variables is equal to one term (no distributive property use necessary).
2) A graphic organizer and example for solving a systems of equations where one of the variables is equal to two terms (distributive property use is necessary).
3) A template for solving a systems of equations using substitution that has the steps on one side of the sheet and spaces for solving the system on the other side of the sheet.
4) Blank templates providing space only for solving systems of equations.
My students caught on to the steps much quicker and with less stress than without the graphic organizer.
