In this activity students use tables and graphs to determine the solution to systems of linear equations. This first five examples are all independent systems, having unique solutions. In the second part, students encounter additional examples involving inconsistent and dependents systems. These are intended to lead students to "discover" these types of systems, providing a foundation for the formal terminology for classifying systems.
