In this card sort activity, students are provided with "When" cards and "Solve" cards. The "When" cards provide a scenario and the student must decide if this scenario is most efficiently solved by substitution, elimination, or graphing. Students must then place two "Solve" cards with each method and solve using that method. An answer key is provided. Students may choose to solve a system using substitution that may be more efficiently solved using elimination, but that is up to the student to decide.
