In this activity, students can work in groups of 3 to solve quadratics by factoring. There are questions when a=1, a is not 1, and there are common factors. All questions are factorable.
In the groups of 3, students will assign themselves (or you can assign them!) as A, B, and C. At each of the six stations, the students will complete their problem based on their letter. Each individual student will find the sum of their two zeros, and as a group they will find the sum of all of their zeros.
As a teacher, you can check only the sum of all their zeros if you would like. This forces students to go back to specific stations and rework problems and have conversations about quadratics. The answer key also includes individual student answers if you prefer to check that way.
