Solving for an Unknown Variable- addition & subtraction- game

Students are always more engaged, and therefore more successful, when they can play a game.

To play this game, each student selects a card and solves a one-step addition or subtraction equation containing only whole numbers and one variable. Students then roll a dice or use a spinner to move their game piece around the pre-made board.

This resource includes 40 different equation cards, an answer key, student data sheet, and a game board. The student data sheet allows students to keep track of their answers and can be used for student accountability and grading.
