This activity is for review of solving one-step, two-step, and multi-step equations with variables on one side. The order of the pages in the word document is the answer key.
Below the answer and above the problem, place a letter of the alphabet. Make sure to NOT go in alphabetical order, since that will tell the students the answer to the problems. Tape the pages OUT OF ORDER along a wall in a hallway is probably best.
Each student or group of students will start at a problem. They will write down their starting letter, then solve the problem showing work on an answer sheet. Once they find an answer, they will walk around to find the answer they got on anther paper, then proceed to work that problem. When they are completed, they should end up where they started. You can check their progress if they ask, just to make sure they are on the right track.
