There are 20 “quadratic equations” cards sheets to use for this scavenger hunt. The 20 cards should be printed and placed in different places in the classroom.
Each sheet has a quadratic equation to solve. When is solved, the students must find the answers to their question on another sheet displayed in the classroom. They work out the answer to each question, follow this answer to find the next question and so on until all questions are completed.
Students can work in groups of 2 or 3, each group starting at a different location to work their way through the questions. There is a handy recording sheet provided for students to write their answers and calculations.
I recommend printing the 20 cards on 10 sheets of paper, with 2 cards per sheet and then laminating, to reduce printing time and costs.
Depending on the time a teacher has in a lesson, 20 questions for a scavenger hunt game may take too long. Hence, the 20 cards are also separated into 2 different games, each with 10 questions. All games have a title in a different at the bottom of each page.
