THIS MATH STATION UNIT IS PACKED FULL OF DIFFERENTIATED ACTIVITIES,
ALIGNED TO COMMON CORE:
K.CC.A.1: Know number names and sequence. Can count to 100 by 1’s.
K.CC.A.2 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
K.CC.A.3 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
K.CC.B.4 Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
K.CC.B.5: Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle.
K.CC.C.6: Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies.
K.CC.C.7: Can compare two written numerals between 1-10.
K.OA.A.2: Solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 10, e.g., by using objects or drawings to represent the problem.
K.OA.A.3: Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each decomposition by a drawing or equation (e.g., 5 = 2 + 3 and 5 = 4 + 1).
K.OA.A.4: For any number from 1 to 9, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record the answer with a drawing or equation.
K.OA.A.5: Fluently add and subtract to five.
K.NBT.A.1: Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each composition or decomposition by a drawing or equation (such as 18 = 10 + 8); understand that these numbers are composed of ten ones and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
K.MD.B.3: Classify objects into given categories; count the numbers of objects in each category and sort the categories by count.
K.GA.2: Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size.
Station 1: Bunnies Love Addition and Subtraction. This self-correcting activity includes two tiers for addition to 5 and 10 and two tiers for subtraction to 5 and to 10. This station is independent with self-correcting playing cards.
Station 2: Bunnies Love To Spin, Add, Color and Win/ or Bunnies Love to Spin, Subtract Color and Win. This activity is an addition and subtraction activity with two tiers each. There is also an option of having mixed subtraction/addition. Tier one is to five and tier two is to 10. There are two separate spinners for addition and 2 spinners for subtraction plus a mixed addition spinner. Each tier has 2 coloring sheets for a total of 8 color pages for this activity.
Station 3: Count, Graph, Tally and Making 10 Easter Fun. Two counting mats are available to extend this activity. Based on your students readiness determine whether they complete the tally, graph or making 10 recording sheets. (Available in black and white or color.)
Stations 4: Roll, Say Peep: This is a fun way for students to practice identifying 3D shapes.
Station 5: Some Bunny’s Hiding: Number recognition. Can be tiered for numbers up to 50.
Station 6: Some Bunny’s Number Order Fun: Use the numbers from Some Bunny’s Hiding to place numbers in order from either biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest. There are also black and white recording sheets for this activity.
Station 7: Counting On Bunnies: Use the number cards from ‘Some Bunny’s Hiding’ number cards to count and identify numbers that come before and after. Black and white and colored recording sheets available.
Station 8: Spin a Peep: Numeral cards, ten frame cards and tally mark cards are available to help differentiate this number comparison game.
Station 9: Easter Place Value Fun: This is a fun place value number construction game that can be easily differentiated.
Station 10: Making Numbers Jellybean Style: Students practice decomposing numbers through addition with this hands on activity.
Station 11: Some Bunny Loves To Make 10s (and 20s) Play-doh Mats.
