Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch: Literature-Based Language Lessons are organized according to the components of language, with the addition of sections for narrative language, listening comprehension, and expository text comprehension.
Listening comprehension lessons target making connections, summarizing, visualizing, inferencing and synthesizing, and figurative language.
Narrative lessons focus on character traits, story grammar, and story retells.
Phonology lessons include phonological awareness tasks using the vocabulary from the book. Story vocabulary is also organized according to speech sounds. Two homework assignments for articulation are included.
