Not some more notes from a PowerPoint! That is what many kids think when they have to take notes from a boring PowerPoint presentation. That is exactly why I made this. Add this story to one of those boring PowerPoint's where you just think, “I have got to have something more to stimulate excitement”! This presentation is not the “Monster at the end of this book” that is so popular, but much better with an animated character and other animations on just about every slide. “Kevin” the cartoon character appears to have the slide tied with rope so that you cannot go to the next slide. On another, he nails up the slide so you can’t go on. He even bricks up a slide so you cannot go on to the next slide. Watch your students be amazed and enjoy as they watch this story unfold within your learning concepts on the other slides. It even has sounds. There is actually a “Monster” at the end, but you can delete that if you feel like it is not age appropriate and may “scare” your students. You can add your little twists to this PowerPoint to tailor it to your subject. I made this for my biology class in high school and called it, “The Mutated Monster at the End of the Slide Show”. My students had a great time taking notes with this mixed in with slides that described mutations and genetics.
Add the slides of this PowerPoint in between the slides of your own PowerPoint and watch those concepts all of a sudden seem very interesting!
For elementary teachers, this can be shown just as a story! Your students will be glued to the screen.
To delete the monster at the end with the scream simply scroll down to the last slide, left click on the monster and then press the delete key on your computer keyboard and then save the presentation.
