Product Description
The 2004 HBO video "Something the Lord Made" tells the story of Dr. Alfred Blalock and Vivien Thomas's collaboration to pioneer a new heart surgery to save the lives of "blue babies." This nonfiction drama stars Alan Rickman and Mos Def as an unusual partnership that begins at Vanderbilt Univ. and ends at Johns Hopkins University.

Along with the film, students may complete the analysis of the film as literature with examination of themes and conflict while watching to complete Bloom's level 1 questions.
