Product Description
As my student's and I always have 'talked' about the 'what if's' in history. This project allows students to write "lyrics" to an event in history and 'tell' me what they think or how they would remember it.

My students just love the idea but I tell them that "they DON'T have to sing it, just write it", right or wrong it needs to make them 'remember' the event in history.

I have just figured I wanted my students to get the same enjoyment from what I learned and studied in my 27 years teaching Louisiana history. I want them to have a desire to look into history and see what the author's did not tell them. It does not matter if it is from my lecture, a textbook photo, a project, or a song.

I have always loved writing "Lyrics" to historical events. I think it came from way back when I first heard 'The Battle of New Orleans'. I know that these types of songs have led me to become a lifelong learner. And it is what I want my students to become.
