I use this packet with my upper-.level Spanish students to guide them through their song translation project.
Part 1 (p 1 - 2) : students choose a song, write the original lyrics, and complete basic information about the song (topic, ryhme, verb tense, etc)
Part 2 (p 3) : students complete a preliminary translation, with space on the right for peer comments
Part 3 (p 4) : final translation
Part 4 (p5) : write Google translation (opportunity to talk about what translates well, and if not, why not?)
Suggestion: after completing the translations, I ask students to create a bilingual lyric video using Windows Movie Maker, that they later share on YouTube.
