This collection of original songs and chants in various tonalities and meter, with and without words, was inspired by Dr. Gordon's Music Learning Theory.
Among 41 songs and 3 chants, you'll find hello and goodbye song, circle songs, songs with improvisation opportunities, songs that encourage creative movement, songs that explore locomotor and stationary movement, and songs that improve overall musicianship and help build a listening vocabulary for developing audiation. 24 tunes are accompanied by simple teaching suggestions for young children that can also be applied with older students and adults. Many teaching suggestions incorporate exploration of movement qualities based on R. Laban movement theory: flow, weight, space, and time. These tunes were inspired by real teaching and parenting situations, and have been tested by teachers around the world for the last 10 years.
