Students find it hard to differentiate between GCF and LCM because they don't think of the terms conceptually. This card sort uses a bit of higher order thinking to separate the cards into examples of GCF and LCM. You can let each group sort the cards at their tables or you can hand one card to each student in the class and have the GCF stand on one side of the room and LCM on the other side. Have each student read their card and the class can agree if the student is on the right side.
