This unit is great for introducing interactive notebooks. It uses the beginning of the year concept of sorting with easy to follow consistent instructions. The items have dotted lines on everything that needs to be cut out, and solid lines on everything that is not to be cut. The sorts use pictures requiring no reading skills, and the sorting covers also use visuals to help students. This unit also has different types of sorts getting more challenging as the units progress. Buy the bundle now and get all new additions at no added cost! Price will rise, as bundle grows.

Tips & Advice:
1. Examples! Whenever possible make an example to show the students. This helps clear up expectations and also shows them where things need to be glued.
2.Explain the directions clearly, using visuals if possible. i.e.. “Cut only on the dotted lines.” Then showing an example and asking “Where do you cut?” at the end.
3.In primary grades allow time for learning using manipulatives and student interaction.
