Have students identify the picture then sort it base on what vowel sound they hear. Students should be able to identify if the sound is a long or a short sound. This activity can be used whole group during morning calendar time as a warm up or daily review. It also could be used during small group instruction or select an assortment of cards to use at a center.
7 Sets of cards are included- detectives, flowers, umbrellas, ocean, and school, bubble gum kids, and dogs!
