Fairy Tale Math - In which fairy tales would you find a broken chair, a pumpkin, a bridge, hay, or a cow? We have 57 fairy tale pictures of people, places things and animals to sort and classify, and 16 header cards to use as categories in this packet. Students can sort the cards by character and setting, by fairy tale, by real or make believe. After they have completed one of the sorts, they complete a data chart where they gather and record the data, and interpret the data.
Students should be familiar with the following fairy tales:
• The Three Billy Goats Gruff
• The Three Little Pigs
• Goldilocks and the Three Bears
• Jack and the Beanstalk
• Little Red Riding Hood
• The Little Red Hen
