Use this Valentine's Day themed activity with real candy conversation hearts for a fun, hands-on lesson! I use this project as a math center activity during a unit on Health and Nutrition, Colors, or Valentine’s Day. I give each student individual bags of different colored conversation hearts (you can also use the included conversation heart cards). They have to sort by colors, and count how many of each different color they have. As they count, they use crayons to color in the boxes above each color word or heart on the graph to represent how many of each different color heart that they have in their individual bags. There are four graphs included and a page of conversation hearts, which comes in color and black and white.
