Are your students ready to tackle and explore sorting and patterns? Everything you need to teach an engaging guided math unit is included here! Students will learn to sort by attributes such as shape, size, color, and kind, identify and make AB, ABC, ABB, and AAB patterns, and predict and identify missing parts in a pattern.
This unit is not part of the main Kindergarten Guided Math curriculum, but it is included in the curriculum bundle
as a supplemental unit for teachers who need to teach sorting and patters.
Each lesson includes a full lesson plan with:
*Whole Group Activity - students will explore each concept with a hands-on activity.
*Game or Activity - students will work in pairs to play a game or complete an extension activity
*Independent Follow Up - students will apply what they learned whole group to an independent paper activity.
*Home Extension - students can practice even more at home with a short practice page.
