Sorting is a great way for students to identify objects, learn new vocabulary, identify visual differences, and many other pre-reading and math skills.
This sort focuses on identifying Letters, Numbers, and Symbols. Included are four versions of the sorting activity.
1. Large sorting mats and cards for small group
2. Pocket chart cards for whole group or center work
3. Color versions for a sorting notebook or other independent work.
4. Black & White version for a sorting notebook or other
Included are cover pages that can be glued onto the front of a spiral notebook or composition book; both are perfect as a sorting notebook.
Spiral Notebook or Composition Book- for the individual sorts, the students can sort and glue them into a notebook for future reference
Construction Paper- if they do not have a sorting notebook, glue the sort on a piece of construction paper
