I made this for a student who had a difficult time blocking out certain irritating noises, including those intentionally made by her classmates. I created it with her, using her terminology and art ideas. This bubble had the properties of allowing all sound to be heard, but it blocked out the "annoying" (and distracting) parts of the sound waves.
This bubble could not be popped or collapsed by anyone but herself, it was with her at all times, and could be used anywhere, at anytime.
During the time I worked with her, she usually needed prompting to use the bubble, but it often had the desired effect and helped her block these sounds and not lose focus.
