Sound Hound Phonics Letter Sound Game
UPDATED: JANUARY 2017
These pages have been extracted from my Phonics Letter of the Week MEGA BUNDLE and combined into a separate packet here. If you have already purchased the Mega Bundle, please DO NOT purchase this!
About this book:
This book contains all the pieces you need to create a pocket chart activity to help children identify the position of letter-sounds in words. Included is also a set of cut and paste worksheets that can be used as a follow-up activity, early finisher work, or as homework.
Directions for use:
To prepare the pocket chart activity for use: print, laminate and cut out the dog that contains the wording you prefer to use you prefer to use (beginning/middle/end or head/tummy/tail) and a set of alphabet picture cards you wish to focus on. Cut the dog down the dotted lines to separate the head, middle and tail sections.
The aim of this activity is for children to identify the position of the focus letter-sound shown at the top of the card as they say each word. Once the position has been identified, children place the card under the correct dog section to show their answers. Once all the cards have been sorted, children can also complete the accompanying letter worksheet. (The worksheet can also be used independently of this activity).
Happy Teaching :)
