I created this to use for progress monitoring after longer school breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring breaks). Each story has the same main idea and outcome, but the vocabulary is different in order to incorporate numerous opportunities for targeted sound production in all word positions. There is an artic tally sheet for each story and (10) “WH” questions to measure accuracy of reading comprehension and reading strategies.
I wanted these stories to be very versatile so I could use them with both my artic and language students, since many of my groups are a mixture. There is a story targeting each of the following sounds:
