I created this game to increase the phonemic awareness in my primary grade students. I found that it allowed me to introduce new sounds, spelling, grammar rules, and even review, all within a couple of minutes each day.
The students are successful at it and it becomes a quick ‘game’ to play during transition times. This was appropriate in Kindergarten through second grade, but would also works well for struggling students or second language learners in intermediate grades. The most important piece is to make it fun!
