This FREEBIE contains a special Easter themed story focusing on the graphemes ea as in leaf (or Easter!) and ee as in bee. Students read the original story "Sweet Easter Treats" and search for the words with the focus sound-spelling. Students circle the words, write them and create an illustration to go with the story.
As an added bonus the story poses a math problem too. Can your students discover how many eggs were collected in the Easter egg hunt? This freebie contains both a U.S. and an AUS/U.K. spelling version of the story.
Project the story onto a whiteboard and complete it as a whole class or print it and have your students complete it independently, with a partner or in a small group.
It's spelling, reading comprehension and math all in one- with no PREP! Happy Easter.
