Sound Strips: Where's that Sound? Phonemic Awareness-Beginning, Middle, and Ending Sound Practice!
The 30 included sound strips are a wonderful phonemic awareness activity for your little learners! They help practice noticing, thinking about, and working with the individual sounds in words.
How to use the sound strips...
Laminate and cut apart the 30 different sound strips as well as the little frogs. Have students use the frogs to hop to the Lilly pad that represents the sound position in the word/picture.
(i.e. Say the picture on the card...“net”. Hop the frog while saying the sound stopping at the target sound. /n/…./e/

These strips can be used during Daily 5 time, in workboxes and during small group time to refine phonemic awareness and beginning reading skills!
