My goal at Little SciFi Labs is to create engaging, hands-on science lessons inspired by children's literature. This lesson plan and included STEAM activities were inspired by the heartwarming book, Horton Hears a Who! by Dr. Seuss. The lesson contains two versions of a STEAM activity to choose from – you could do both, but they are very similar.
Students will work together to make something new, they must make some noisy things to save Whos from Beezle-Nut Stew! In Who Noises! and Who Voices!, students will plan, create, test, modify, and present their custom-made noise makers to the class. You will use a decibel meter to test the students’ inventions.
