The pictures with Elkonin boxes are a great way for students to practice sounding out words to spell. This can be modeled and practiced as a class or in small groups and then students can work on these activities during center rotations. These cards have three letter words and larger words to easily allow for differentiation. Laminate and reuse them time after time. You can even write the correct spelling on the back and teach students how to self-check their work. These are great center activities for fun and engaging practice.

A great resource for ELL students too!
