This source analysis template allows students to consider and answer the essential source analysis questions in order to begin the process of understanding and contemplating both primary and secondary historical sources.
This may be utilized in a variety of ways:
1) To help students understand and analyze a specific source before discussing it as evidence of a broader concept, event, or theme.
2) As a part of a research project in which they need source evidence to help support a historical argument.
3) As the basis for beginning to compare and contrast a group of historical sources that are relevant to whatever topic your class may be studying.
Best wishes and happy teaching!
