This is a game on choosing and using sources of information such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, and almanacs. This game is intended to be a small group relay on selecting resource tools, using key words, and ultimately finding information in those resources. To make the Sources of Information Relay Game, print the file front to back to make 20 question cards and 4 example cards. The students will compete in small groups to find the answers to all 20 questions. Questions can be answered in random order. (Introductory PowerPoint lesson available separately).
The game and the additional PowerPoint are very engaging and allow students to practice using reference skills in a fun and interactive way!
Please note: the game requires use of informational tools such as a newspaper, atlas, encyclopedia set, etc... and the answers to the questions will vary depending on the exact versions of the tools used. Please change answers accordingly prior to use.
I have an answer key available free of charge. Just email me and I'll send it to you!
