After reading three introductory paragraphs with the class, students compete in three games.
There are 50 sentences on the pages that describe India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh in the years following independence. Class members begin Game 1 by reading statements 1-25 on India. They are informed that nineteen of the sentences are true and six are false. Students write their answers in spaces provided. Papers can be exchanged and correct answers read following Game 1. The person or persons with the most right answers win Game 1.
Play continues in the same way with Game 2 on Bangladesh and Game 3 on Pakistan.
Easy-to-follow Teacher Instructions and answer key included, along with a 20-question follow up quiz to measure student progress. The quiz can also be given as a homework assignment or used as a review exercise later in the school year.
