Standard: SS 3-1.2
This set includes:
♦ Thorough presentation on the 12 different physical features in the standards and their main location in relation to the landform regions, what river systems are and the four main river systems in the state, important cities in the state, how physical features help create our borders, and the climate of the state.
♦An assessment with a chart for a description and sketch of each of the studied 12 physical features as well as response questions
♦ An assessment with a fill-in-the-blanks map on cities and physical features that create our borders, a blank river systems map for them to color and create a map key, along with a response question
♦ A South Carolina Geography Project culminating what they have learned in 3-1.1 & 3-1.2. Students use two outlines of the state to create one map with the landform regions as well as a brief description, place/city, and physical feature from each. The second map, the students will show the four main river systems, the major river from each, and the four major cities (Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Myrtle Beach - as indicated in the standards). Map keys will be drawn for both and students are asked to title their poster/project. Rubrics are provided on the student information sheet and for you to use for grading purposes. An outline of SC is also provided for you to copy for students!
♦ Three way vocabulary cards for matching, study, or memory game
♦ Keys for the assessments
This is a great set if you teach South Carolina history and covers all of the material in the related standards and highlights from the support documents.
When using the PDF as a presentation, make sure to go to "View" and then to "Full Screen". It will show just like a PowerPoint!
