This is a great paired-reading worksheet that uses the CLOZE Notes strategy. Students use the two versions (A and B) of the reading to fill in the blanks on their own sheet.
A one sentence example is below:
Events leading to the American Revolutionary War were largely the result of the attempt by the ______________________ and Parliament to impose _________ on the colonies in order to pay for the French and Indian War.
Events leading to the American Revolutionary War were largely the result of the attempt by the British crown and _________________to impose taxes on the colonies in order to pay for the ___________________________.
Working together, they are able to complete the reading. Each page has approximately twenty-five blanks that need to be filled in.
