This is a great paired-reading worksheet that uses the CLOZE Notes strategy. Students use the two versions (A and B) of the reading to fill in the blanks on their own sheet.
A one sentence example is below:
Members of the South Carolina ___________________ convention in 1860 voted unanimously to secede from the Union.
Members of the South Carolina secession convention in 1860 voted _________________ to ___________ from the Union.
Working together, they are able to complete the reading. Each page has approximately twenty blanks that need to be filled in.
