This is a great paired-reading worksheet that uses the CLOZE Notes strategy. Students use the two versions (A and B) of the reading to fill in the blanks on their own sheet.
A one sentence example is below:
The Union strategy was to prevent ships from ______________ or _______________ from South Carolina ports.
The _____________ strategy was to prevent ships from importing or exporting from South Carolina ports.
Working together, they are able to complete the reading. Each page has approximately twenty-five blanks that need to be filled in.
