Interactive Word Walls are a fantastic addition to your classroom! Bright, colorful, and easy to decipher pictures can be used to introduce, reinforce, and review vocabulary words with each unit. Word walls always help my students understand the large amount of vocabulary words we are often challenged to teach in the Social Studies curriculum. Each one is hand drawn to highlight the definition of the word in a simple manner. By using the visual clues, students are able to make their own connections and truly learn the meaning of the concepts. These are great for struggling readers, Special Education students, and English Language Learners in the classroom. I have included a Teacher Quick Reference Guide with 6 different ideas of ways to implement the word wall and make it truly interactive in your classroom!
