This is the set of posters I created for my class to use while teaching our unit on space (planets and stars).

These have so many uses! I am starting off the unit with just these on the walls (and I will print copies for each student to paste in their notebooks). As we learn about the planets and stars, students will place sticky notes with new learning, insights, questions, etc. about each.

You could also use these as a teaching document to display while discussing the planets or stars, or print them out for student notebooks/notes. I am excited to see what they learn!!

2. Space Review for Morning Work, Class Work, Homework, etc.

This is the morning work I created to go along with my space unit. This will last two weeks. Each day students will encounter questions about planets, ordering (size, from sun, moon phases), stars, moon phases, and seasons. There is also a section for a reflection after Friday. You could use this as morning work, home work, or class work. This could also be used as an extension (Let them research the questions!) or remediation.

Skills Covered:
~Planets (characteristics, order from the sun, and order in terms of size)
~Stars (colors, sizes, constellations, compare/contrast between stars and planets)

~day/night cycle (create a model to explain)
~technology (What has helped up study space?)

I started using this a few days into my unit. If students did not know the answer, I encouraged them to use their resources to discover them! You could use this as a pre-teaching tool, during your unit, or as a review after your unit or before any end of year tests.

I hope you find this helpful! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for your classroom!
